1.0 video FrameRate https://framerate.tv This is a personal project that might be part of a larger series "Instrumental Vibes", where I take some of my favorite music, the art that accompanies it, and create short animation sequences highlighting the musician’s tool of the trade they used to make the particular piece of music. This first piece was inspired by the band Torche and the fantastic illustrations of Santos. I wanted to do something heavy, but with a lighter visual aesthetic. Not everything can be doom and gloom 💀🌈. Torche’s album Harmonicraft was the perfect fit. Lead singer and guitarist Steve Brooks' EGC is pretty damn iconic if you ever got to see them play live. I will forever be interested in combining, translating, mixing, illustration into the world of motion graphics. This time around I wanted to flex some 3D muscles while still keeping with the spirit and aesthetic of the original album art.
